MLK Community Healthcare in California is seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) for a full-time night shift to support the mental health team and provide high-quality patient care. Under RN supervision, you will perform bedside observations, assist with care plans, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, respond to crises, and participate in discharge planning while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to hospital

Formación

• 6 months to 1 year of LPT experience in acute adult psychiatric units.
• Current BLS certification.
• Annual Workplace Violence Prevention training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Support RN with orders and bedside observations; provide emotional support to patients.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition and family needs.
• Contribute to therapeutic milieu and discharge planning; ensure safety and well-being of patients.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; document care instructions tailored to patient needs.
• Demonstrate independent work with initiative and good judgment.

Conocimientos

Licensed Psychiatric Technician exp

Bilingual Spanish (preferred)

Educación

California State Licensed Psychiatric Technician license
