Job summary

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician in acute adult psychiatric unit.
• Must complete Workplace Violence Prevention Program within 30 days of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
• Current California State Licensed Psychiatric Technician license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the RN to accept and process physician orders.
• Provide continuous bedside observations and prescribed care.
• Report changes in patient condition and family needs.
• Support therapeutic milieu and safety of patient population.
• Participate as a team member with clinical interdisciplinary staff.
• Demonstrate crisis intervention skills as needed.
• Assist with discharge instructions and follow-up appointments.
