Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Telemetry on 6 South Neuro. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with three 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am and every third weekend. The position requires NC LPN licensure, accredited LPN training, and BLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN training program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse licensure from the state of NC.
• American Heart Association BLS required within 6 months unless exempt.
• Previous experience in a clinical or health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care activities per care plan under supervision.
• Directs or escorts patients to clinical areas and assists with exams.
• Administers and documents medications ordered by providers.
• Calls in medication orders to the patient’s pharmacy.
• Triages and documents patient phone calls regarding medications and conditions.
• Maintains and stocks examination rooms and supplies.
• Participates in team meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Documents findings in patient records per policy.
