Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state providing nursing care.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist and turn frequently during an eight hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds in assisting co-workers with resident lifts, transfers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the direct delivery of resident care and administers prescribed medications.
• Maintains confidential information about residents, their condition, and family.
• Complies with corporate and departmental policies and procedures and standards.
• Transcribes and carries out physician orders and assists with physician visits.
• Assigns daily resident care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides and monitors delivery of care.
• Participates in resident care planning and evaluates resident needs.
• Assists with admissions and discharges and with management of staff.
