Job summary

Homewood Living Martinsburg is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the night shift on a part-time basis. The role involves direct resident care, medication administration, and accurate documentation, with supervision and coordination of Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state providing nursing care.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist and turn during an eight hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds for transfers and assists.
• Ability to communicate to residents at a level they can understand.
• Ability to react quickly and decisively in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Treat all resident information as confidential.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Provide accurate records of medical and nursing care.
• Assign daily care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.
• Transcribe physician orders and assist with physician visits.
• Participate in resident care planning.
• Evaluate resident needs and respond with proper nursing techniques.
• Assist with admissions and discharges.
• Assist in managing Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.
• Perform other functions as directed by the supervisor.
