Job summary

Clorox in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Logistics Lead for the 12-hour night shift to oversee daily plant operations, coordinate loading dock activities, and serve as the liaison between hourly staff and management for safe, efficient performance.

You will lead shift start and end meetings, manage material flows (soybean oil, vinegar), coordinate with suppliers and the on-site fleet, drive improvement initiatives, and support audits, training, and timely problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work floor activities.
• Plan and schedule loading dock operations.
• Lead Distribution Department safety efforts.
• Coordinate training and development activities.
• Lead start/end of shift meetings.
• Offload and manage bulk material inventory (soybean oil, vinegar).
• Manage material flows for efficient operations.
• Interface with suppliers and on-site fleet.
• Lead timely problem resolution efforts.
• Participate in quality audits as needed.
• Support and troubleshoot palletizer machine performance.
• Manage recyclables and order pick-ups as needed.
• Initiate timely communication across the organization.
• Drive department improvement initiatives.
