Eurofins USA Food Testing in Omaha, NE seeks a Laboratory Technician I for full-time work Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00pm–6:30am. Responsibilities include sample registration, data entry in eLIMS, and performing routine lab tests while following quality and safety guidelines.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma; an AS/BS in microbiology or related fields is preferred. Benefits include medical, life, 401(k), and paid vacation.

Formación

• HS Diploma required.
• BA degree recommended but not required.
• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field.
• Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Reads, understands and follows management system requirements
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned analytical work
• Registration of incoming samples and maintaining a neat and accurate record system
• Enter the sample data into Eurofins eLIMS system in a timely and accurate manner
• Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
• Verify results and submit results to the appropriate personnel for transmission
• Identify process difficulties and report these with proposed solutions to supervisor
• Maintain readiness to respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and co-workers
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees
• Promote the company image through sound and ethical business practices
• Continually strive to improve the quality of work
• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
