Qualifications

  • Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation is a plus.

Job Description

The Laboratory Technician I receives sufficient authority from, and is accountable to the Laboratory Supervisor or appointed designate for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities. The technician has the authority to take necessary actions to carry out these duties, identify departures from the quality system or procedures, and ensure compliance with company guidelines, technical standards, and laboratory practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate and promote the company vision
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Follow management system requirements, including Quality Manual, SOPs, Work Instructions, and Methods to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC and regulatory standards
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Register incoming samples, keep accurate records, and perform quality control tests as needed
  • Enter sample data into Eurofins eLIMS system accurately and promptly
  • Complete laboratory testing efficiently, ensuring turnaround times are met or exceeded
  • Verify and submit results in a timely manner
  • Identify process issues and report them with proposed solutions
  • Respond to client, staff, and co-worker needs proactively
  • Maintain cooperative relationships and communicate effectively within the company
  • Promote ethical business practices and uphold the company's image
  • Strive to improve work quality through new technologies
  • Identify non-conformances and out-of-specification results
  • Conduct activities safely and efficiently
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Information

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00 pm - 6:30 am (Occasional Saturdays). Applicants should currently live within a commutable distance to Omaha, NE.
