Job summary

Beacon Health System in Kalamazoo, MI seeks a Laboratory Supervisor for full-time night shift (9:00 pm–7:30 am) to oversee bench work, testing operations, and information systems processes. You will ensure all activities follow established policies and procedures and report to the Laboratory Manager/Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field and CAHEA-accredited MLS program completed.
• Certification as MLS (ASCP/HEW) preferred; four years of related clinical laboratory experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred, with ability to lead staff and coordinate daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of laboratory sections to ensure work follows policies and procedures.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, assignment of tasks, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement competency and training programs; monitor staff education and in-service training.
• Ensure accuracy and timely reporting of test results; maintain patient records integrity.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, state/federal regulations and hospital policies.
• Maintain quality control programs and oversee laboratory information systems maintenance.
