Job summary

Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a Supervisor, Laboratory Operations to oversee evening and overnight laboratory operations at a regional hospital. This hands-on leadership role supervises technical staff while maintaining bench competency.

The ideal candidate will lead staff development, improve workflows, and ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting, with CAP and regulatory oversight. Evening/night shifts and occasional weekend coverage are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• ASCP certification (MLT or MLS/MT) required.
• 1–3 years of clinical lab experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise evening and overnight laboratory operations for technical and support staff.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and staff development in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Assist with scheduling, bench assignments, and staffing coverage.
• Perform bench testing and maintain competency, including weekend/holiday rotations.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and CAP inspection readiness.
• Oversee staff onboarding, training, and performance documentation.
• Ensure timely completion of training records, timecards, and competency checklists.
