Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Laboratory Manager to oversee overnight operations on a rotating schedule. The role ensures high quality, safety, and efficiency while directing all technical and operational activities in the laboratory.

The position requires eight years of laboratory experience with at least four years of direct supervisory experience, along with strong leadership and knowledge of QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Eight years of laboratory experience with at least four years of direct supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Strong leadership and staff development capabilities.
• Familiarity with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA requirements and laboratory safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign and direct work in the laboratory and serve as liaison with other areas as needed.
• Mentor and support direct reports and implement supervisory training.
• Define and monitor quality assurance programs and supervise the department Quality Coordinator/Representative.
• Oversee staffing, conduct hiring/training, and provide staff development through performance evaluations.
• Develop annual budget and manage department costs and resources to meet budget.
• Review test performance and drive process improvements and project management.
