Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead a high‑volume clinical lab. Based in Norristown, PA, Clifton, NJ, or Baltimore, MD, you will supervise technical staff, ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and drive efficient operations.

You will plan staffing, mentor supervisors, coordinate QA programs, manage budgets, and report on performance. A strong background in life sciences, 8–10 years lab experience, including 4–6 years in supervision, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (10) years laboratory experience with at least four (6) years direct supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Bachelor's Degree Life sciences required; Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, and directs work in the laboratory.
• Mentors and supports direct reports including Supervisors and QA Specialists.
• Defines, coordinates, and monitors quality assurance programs and supervises QC procedures.
• Oversees staffing and develops personnel through performance evaluations.
• Defines and coordinates equipment, facilities, and budget needs.
• Reviews test performance and prepares required reports.
