Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team at the Henry Ford Warren Hospital in Warren, MI. The role supports clinical lab operations with responsibilities including receiving and sorting specimens, preparing samples for testing, and data entry.

The position requires a high school diploma and may prefer 1+ year of medical or lab experience. It is a production, high-volume environment with shift 3, 10:00pm–6:30am and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of medical or lab experience preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
