Job summary

Labcorp in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Lab Assistant to join a fast-paced laboratory team. Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 12:30am - 9:00am (rotating weekends). Responsibilities include receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing samples for testing, data entry, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle biological specimens with care.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is functioning and perform minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for safety and quality.
