Job summary

Labcorp in Cincinnati, OH is hiring a Lab Assistant to support daily specimen handling and data entry in a fast-paced clinical laboratory setting. You will receive, sort, prepare specimens and maintain equipment, with a Monday–Friday 11:00pm–7:30am schedule.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma; preferred candidates have 3 months of specimen processing or laboratory experience, plus basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
