Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a Lab Assistant to support technical staff in Phoenix. You may collect, receive and process biological specimens, prepare samples for analysis, and perform waived or limited moderate complexity testing as eligible.

You will follow CLIA and department procedures and maintain accurate records. You will participate in quality control, inventory, and training activities, with emphasis on safety, customer service, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required; must be 18+ for phlebotomy.
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification as defined by state regulations.
• Laboratory assistant program preferred.
• Knowledge of specimen requirements and handling is preferred.
• Basic medical terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare patient samples including collection, identification, and integrity.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity testing under supervision.
• Assist with inventory and department financial responsibilities.
• Contribute to training documents and procedures as needed.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers and participate in meetings.
