Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona (SQL/LSA) seeks a Laboratory Assistant to support technical staff in the collection, receipt and processing of specimens, and to prepare samples for testing. The role may include performing waived or limited moderate complexity testing if CLIA requirements are met, under supervision.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a phlebotomy/CLA certification, and a valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification is required.
• DHS Fingerprinting certification may be required.
• Valid state driver’s license is required for the job location.

Responsibilities

• Assist technical lab staff with collection, receipt and processing of specimens.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and may perform waived or limited moderate complexity testing.
• Follow established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Maintain accuracy, organization and strong customer service in daily tasks.
