Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years or older if performing phlebotomy.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain fingerprint certification.
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification as defined by state regulations.
• Dependent on department/location, candidate must possess a valid state driver's license in the state of employment.
• Preferred: Previous clinical laboratory experience; Phlebotomy program completion; knowledge of specimen requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare patient samples including collection and identification.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity testing under supervision.
• Assist with inventory management and supplies usage.
• May perform phlebotomy and training as needed.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers and participate in staff meetings.
