Highpoint Health - Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas is hiring a Laboratory Assistant for full-time night shifts (7 PM–7 AM). You will perform phlebotomy, assist with specimen handling, and support clerical duties to keep the lab efficient and accurate.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy training, and at least one year of experience. CPR certification and ASCP/ASPT or equivalent within two years preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy training and minimum one year phlebotomy experience.
• CPR certification (Heartsaver or equivalent) encouraged.
• ASCP/ASPT or equivalent within two years preferred.
• Ability to perform routine venipuncture and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy duties.
• Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.
• Maintains stock of supplies and keeps the work area organized.
• Performs clerical duties including data entry and filing.
• Communicates test results to healthcare providers.
