Highpoint Health - Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for the full-time night shift (7PM-7AM) in Gallatin, TN. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, and clerical tasks to support patient care.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy training with at least one year of experience, and CPR certification. OTJ training may be provided; a positive, patient-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy training and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• CPR certification (Heartsaver) required or within two years of employment.
• OTJ training for CLA duties may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy duties.
• Receives, identifies, accessioning, processes and transports specimens.
• Maintains stock of supplies and a clean, safe work area.
• Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry and filing.
• Communicates test results to appropriate healthcare providers.
