Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a night shift kitchen helper to oversee overnight production prep and ensure readiness for the next day. You will monitor ingredient levels, rotate stock, and maintain high standards of labeling, safety, and cleanliness.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in a fast-paced kitchen, can lead by example on night shifts, and are familiar with kitchen tools and measurement systems. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant environment
• Must be able to lead by example and take initiative during night shifts
• Familiarity with kitchen tools, equipment, and measurement systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight production preparation for next-day operations
• Monitor ingredient levels, rotation, and freshness standards
• Maintain labeling standards and compliance with food safety, storage, and expiration guidelines
• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation across all kitchen stations, tools, and equipment
• Restock essential supplies and prep stations for the following day
• Execute nightly closing procedures with proper shutdown, deep cleaning, and proper storage of ingredients
• Record daily waste and ensure inventory and waste management compliance
• Maintain a clean, organized walk-in cooler and kitchen for morning operations
• Ensure consistency and efficiency in closing routines for smooth shift transitions
• Foster communication between BOH and FOH teams for a seamless night shift
