Qualifications

• > High School Diploma or GED is required.
• "> Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training OR License OR intern/extern if enrolled in college of pharmacy is required.
• "> Pharmacy Tech National Certification within one year of hire unless enrolled in college of pharmacy or in ASHP/ACPE program.

Responsibilities

• > Under pharmacist supervision, supports the pharmacy department in inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, processing of medications and supplies, specialty medications, and histories.
• "> Assist with medication processing including answering telephones, taking refill orders, entering orders into system, and preparing medications for pharmacist check.
• "> Prepare medications for disbursement/shipment/delivery and maintain records while minimizing medication errors.
• "> Work with pharmacy staff to stock supplies, maintain inventory, and deliver supplies.
• "> May assist in bulk compounding and preparation of IV solutions.
