Job summary

IU Health in Indiana is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, and medication histories under pharmacist supervision.

Qualified candidates will have an Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or intern/extern license if enrolled in an accredited college, and/or Pharmacy Technician National Certification. Proficiency in typing and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy.
• Strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency typing and using MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy dept in inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, processing of medications and supplies.
• Assist with medication histories, ordering, and pharmacist check preparation; answer phones and take refill orders.
• Maintain records, stocking, and delivery of supplies; minimize medication errors.
