Universal Health Services is seeking an Registered Nurse in Texas to lead nursing care for patients admitted for medical or surgical care. The RN will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate patient care while ensuring adherence to facility policies and standards.

This role involves leadership of the nursing team and coordination with across-hospital staff and departments. The position may require weekend/evening/night shifts and on-call status.

Qualifications

• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
• Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Texas, or part of a compact state license, or has a valid temporary RN license for the State of Texas while waiting to receive the permanent license. BSN preferred.
• Must have and maintain BLS
• Must have and maintain current certifications, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the ARC or AHA for Healthcare Provider's Program.
• PALS or ENPC
• TNCC or T-CAR (TCAR only for ICCU not ED) if required in unit, must have and maintain certification within eighteen months after hire; or keep current if already certified

• Oversees and guides nursing employees under their supervision and coordinates with hospital staff and ancillary departments regarding patient care and issues.
