Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse in Texas to lead and deliver safe, competent care for patients undergoing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The RN will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care in line with facility policies and philosophy, providing professional leadership to the healthcare team.

The role may require weekend, holiday, evening, night, and on-call coverage as needed, ensuring service excellence at all times.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas RN license or compact state license; BSN preferred.
• Must have and maintain BLS.
• Current ARC/AHA healthcare provider certifications as required (ACLS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures; provide professional nursing leadership.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care; ensure safe, competent care per facility policies and standards.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team; interact with hospital staff and ancillary departments to resolve concerns.
• May work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or on-call/call-back status.

Education

Registered Nurse license in Texas (or compact state)

BSN preferred

Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate in Nursing

BLS certification

ARC/AHA Healthcare Provider certifications (ACLS, etc.)
