Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a full-time HVAC Technician to operate, inspect, and repair HVAC systems across IU Health University Hospital campus, with a night shift schedule 11:00 PM–7:30 AM and on-call weekend rotation.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, Universal CFC, 2+ years' experience, ability to read schematics; hospital experience preferred; on-site role with holiday considerations and shift differential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Requires Universal CFC certification.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical equipment repair and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations (OSHA, Joint Commission).
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Basic computer skills.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience; hospital/industrial maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates, installs, troubleshoots and repairs HVAC electromechanical equipment and related systems across facilities.
• Inspects and repairs AHUs, freezers, walk-ins, laminar flow and VAV boxes as applicable.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
