Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for a 40-hour night shift to help maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors across the hospital campus and affiliated sites.

The role requires responding to emergencies, patrolling facilities, and performing protective security tasks. Candidates should demonstrate strong customer service, crisis management, and reporting skills and have the ability to work flexible hours including nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of security or related experience preferred.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license; ability to pass background check.
• Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid, Narcan, AVADE/HDTS De-Escalation, IAHSS Basic Officer Certification (within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide protection to people and property through patrol, investigation, monitoring alarms and surveillance cameras.
• Provide escorts for staff, visitors and patients as requested.
• Assist with emergency response to a variety of situations.
• Prepare and submit written reports in a complete and accurate manner and log all incidents.
• May be assigned to special duties such as Bike Patrol or Community Liaison Officer.
• May be required to work other shifts/locations when necessary.
