Job summary

The Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN Night Triage Hospice to provide after-hours care for terminally ill patients. You will assess, plan, and deliver nursing care within the hospice team, focusing on comfort and quality of life while coordinating with families and caregivers.

This role requires an AZ RN license, BLS, and 3 years in ER or primary care, with night/weekend availability. Per diem schedule supports flexible nights.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program.
• Three years of related experience, preferably in an emergency room or primary care setting.
• Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Fingerprint Card required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Triage issues and visit terminally ill patients and families.
• Provide comfort care and maximize quality of life.
• Document patient care reflecting nursing interventions and EMR updates.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on medications and self-care.
• Coordinate with hospice team and participate in team communications.
