Job summary

Baywood is seeking a Front Desk Associate to deliver courteous, efficient service at the check-in and check-out desks. You will post charges, handle guest questions, and ensure accuracy in guest accounts while staying aligned with brand standards.

The role includes assisting with room reservations, upselling opportunities, and coordinating guest services across departments to maximize guest satisfaction. High school diploma required; prior hotel front desk experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Front Desk experience preferred; however, ability gained through 2+ years related employment (customer service) or on-the-job training may substitute for actual Front Desk experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with genuine and warm spirit of hospitality.
• Registers guests efficiently, following brand standards and securing payment.
• Posts transactions to guest accounts and reviews balances to ensure payment is secured.
• Reconciles discrepancies between PMS, housekeeping, and registration cards.
• Monitors and restocks sundry shop items and removes expired items as needed.
• Handles guest requests and concerns in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Coordinates delivery of guest services with other hotel departments and outside businesses.
• Processes reservations and cancellations promptly; prepares guest amenities for timely delivery.
• Manages check-out procedures accurately and assists guests on departure.
• Maximizes room revenue through upselling and walk-in guest support.
• Operates PBX and franchise terminals while maintaining guest privacy and security.
• Maintains cash drawers, posting revenues and ensuring correct allocations.
