Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Flossmoor, IL is seeking a part-time Customer Associate (Night). This 20-hour-per-week on-site role handles patient check-in/out, phone messages, and filing within the Family Care Center.

You will work the night shift, 10pm to 6:30am, in a fast-paced reception setting, providing courteous service, updating demographics and insurance info, and routing requests to clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with basic computer software programs.
• Ability to develop others in areas of continuous process improvement and customer service.
• Delivery and self-directed teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in/out patients; collect demographics and insurance information.
• Retrieve and route telephone messages; manage filing and medical chart maintenance.
• Handle incoming calls, route to appropriate party, and take messages; process payments and deposits.
• File and retrieve medical records per department procedures and policy.
