FedEx Freight, Inc. is hiring a dock worker to move freight across the dock area to/from trailers and to perform freight handling with forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

The role requires attention to safety, accurate documentation checks, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Hours are overnight (0000-0830) with pay between $25.64 and $30.55 per hour and a range of eligible benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Warehousing/freight handling/forklift experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry varying weights several times weekly; lift 75 lbs for trailer doors.
• Able to bend, twist, squat, push/pull freight across shift.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Perform freight handling using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazmat).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and documentation.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
