Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our dock operations, moving palletized freight safely and efficiently. Operate forklift and pallet jack, load/unload trailers, and help ensure accurate shipment handling on a fast-paced night shift.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Forklift experience in freight or LTL environment preferred.
• Dock or warehouse experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers.
• Strong attention to detail and drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use forklift and pallet jack to move goods safely.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work on a dock not climate-controlled for extended periods.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
