Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join the dock team. This role involves loading and unloading freight, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, and ensuring freight is secured in trailers on a night shift.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry (preferred).
• Forklift experience in a freight or LTL environment (preferred).
• Experience loading and unloading trailers (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
