Job summary

Sysco Des Moines warehouse is hiring for a general warehouse associate. You will perform loading, unloading, depalletizing, receiving, put-away, replenishments, and product selection when qualified, following PWMs.

You must be able to operate MHE safely, work in freezer/cooler environments, and maintain clean work areas. Applicants should have at least six months forklift experience, be able to pass a certification, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must pass a functional capacity test and have safe lifting practices.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.

Responsibilities

• Follow warehouse tasks to move pallets safely between areas.
• Put away product using material handling equipment, primarily a reach forklift.
• Inspect product for shortages or damage and report to supervisor.
• Replenish product to full pallet or location as directed.
• Load and unload pallets, ensure proper wrapping and secure staging.
