Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Lenox, Iowa is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials and support production. You will drive a small industrial vehicle, follow safety rules, and ensure accurate material handling for the nightly shift from 4:30pm to 1:30am.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, PIT training and forklift certification, and good English. Prior palletized warehouse experience is preferred; the company offers a safe, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training and forklift certification.
• Read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Strong math and configuration skills are necessary.
• Six months palletized warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Certification is preferred but not required at time of hire; PIT training provided at start.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-shift meetings and stretching as a group.
• Drive forklift safely and productively.
• Complete daily forklift inspection and remove lift if defect detected.
• Ship and receive products with QA checks.
• Monitor floor safety and address issues.
• Complete all paperwork accurately.
• Fill customer orders and follow special instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and proper pallet storage.
• Promote teamwork and adhere to GMP and food safety policies.
• Ensure a safe and healthy workplace and report safety concerns.
