Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Lenox, Iowa, seeks a Forklift Operator to move materials safely in a fast-paced facility producing pre-cooked egg patties. Shift 12:00pm–9:00pm, with emphasis on food safety, GMPs, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, daily inspections, accurate shipping/receiving, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse while supporting production and quality control. Strong math, reading, and English skills are required, plus PIT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training and forklift certification
• Effectively read, write and speak English
• Strong math and configuration skills
• Ability to analyze situations and make the best decision which benefits the company without jeopardizing the health and well-being of the employee

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials safely and productively
• Complete daily forklift inspection and remove lift from service if defective
• Ship and receive product accurately and with damage-free handling
• Monitor floor for safety concerns and act accordingly
• Complete documents and paperwork accurately
• Fill customer orders and follow special instructions
• Collaborate with office staff to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized, clean warehouse and proper pallet placement
• Promote teamwork and clear, positive communication
• Adhere to GMPs and food safety/quality requirements
