Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring for a 2nd shift Forklift Operator in Salina, KS. You will safely operate forklifts and equipment to receive, store, and transport palletized products in line with OSHA standards. You will pick and stage pallets and maintain timely trailer loading while ensuring accurate material movements.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year related experience, forklift certification, and ability to work in cold environments. WMS and SAP familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year of related warehouse experience.
• Ability to operate forklifts, clean-up tools, and carts safely.
• Must obtain forklift certification/licensing.
• Ability to key product/move data into terminals and work in 30°F environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and lift equipment safely per OSHA and company safety standards.
• Pick and stage pallets to Forward Pick areas to support trailer loading.
• Maintain smooth product flow with timely material movements.
• Perform regular equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly.
• Support inventory control with periodic counts and organized storage per GWP.
