North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a Night Float Anesthesiologist at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. The hospital is a 350-bed regional center with extensive surgical services and a robust care team model.

The position offers a 26 weeks on, 26 weeks off schedule, MD/DO eligibility, ECFMG/FLEX, and full medical licensure. Sign-on incentives can be substantial and a comprehensive rewards package is provided.

Competenze

• MD/DO degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.

Mansioni

• Case assignments: Endo, general, labor and delivery, radiology, ortho, electrophysiology, GYN, vascular, neuro, URO, cardiac, thoracic, ENT, and plastics
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed
