Job summary

Biltmore Estate is hiring for a third-shift custodial/janitorial role responsible for cleaning restrooms, offices, and public areas across the Estate. The position requires detail orientation, the ability to work evenings and weekends, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities include maintenance tasks, snow and debris cleanup, emergency cleans, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. OT and varied shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year custodial/janitorial or maintenance experience.
• Detail-oriented with focus on cleanliness.
• Commitment to delivering world class guest service.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 19 years old.
• Ability to read and comprehend MSD sheets.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms to Biltmore standards and clean public areas.
• Clean offices, break rooms, and empty trashcans.
• Perform maintenance tasks (bulbs, pressure washing, fountain cleaning).
• Snow removal at RTSC, Village, and AHV Barn (hotel stay included).
• Assist with cleaning at RTSC ticketing center as needed.
• Climb scaffolding and ladders.
• Perform emergency cleaning of bodily fluids.
• Storm debris cleanup.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards.
