Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to provide technical assistance and compassionate patient care across ED and inpatient units. The role is a float position requiring willingness to cover three locations and night shifts (7pm–7am).

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, wound care, and patient safety, with travel among facilities as needed. A high school diploma and relevant certifications are required, with BLS/ACLS often mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with relevant clinical training or licensure.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets.
• EMT-P/AEMT/Paramedic licensure with experience; EMT-B + ER experience acceptable in some markets.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document vital signs, intake/output, and specimens.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policies and regulations.
• Assist with patient activities and care as designated by charge nurse.
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
