Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for the South Emergency Department/Freestanding, night shifts. The RN I will provide high-quality care under supervision, document responses, and support diagnostic and treatment procedures in a busy ED setting.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, 0-3 years of RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. OU Health emphasizes patients first, inclusion, and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 0-3 years of patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• License/Certification/Registration: Current RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders.
• Assists physician in examination and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates, regulates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
• Resolves patient complaints in accordance with policy and with staff.
• Informs patient/family of procedures and care plan; participates in discharge planning.
