Job summary

Mercyhealth in Illinois is seeking a registered nurse to deliver safe, patient-centered care during night shifts on a 36-hour weekly schedule. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure in the state.

ADN is required at hire; BSN preferred. CPR/BLS within 90 days; ACLS, PALS, PEARS or NRP may be required per unit. You will document care, administer meds, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support the patient's plan and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in the state; CPR/BLS certification within 90 days.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP or unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to standards.
• Documents care per standards of care and nurses' process.
• Develops and executes a patient plan of care with the physician and team.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team; participates in performance improvement.
• Escalates patient safety issues through the proper chain of command.
• Engages in ongoing nursing continuum and peer-review activities.
