Job summary

Target Corp in DeKalb, IL is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 to maintain and repair automated material handling equipment and facility systems. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components, reading schematics, and operating site vehicles.

The position offers a B3 shift (Wed–Sat, 8:30pm–6:30am) with competitive hourly wages and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic PC skills and ability to use mobile apps.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair automated material handling and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment (MHE, HVAC, dryers).
• Read and understand electrical/electronic schematics.
• Operate Target vehicles for maintenance tasks and travel to other sites as needed.
• Develop and maintain positive cross-functional relationships.
