Job summary

BENCHMARK is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the team at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa. In this role, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance on building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a hotel or resort setting, possess strong attention to detail, and exhibit excellent communication skills. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance person to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Make repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, etc.
• Perform general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Keep records as required by company policy and procedures.
• Maintain logs on completed tasks.
• Prepare reports as requested by supervisors.
• Submit all requested reports/logs in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Engaging and welcoming personality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, and push/pull throughout the duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
