Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Technician to support patient care on evenings and nights. The role operates on-site under supervision from a Registered Nurse or physician, performing tasks such as obtaining vital signs and collecting samples while following hospital policies.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and may have CNA, MA, or EMT credentials; ongoing health-sciences studies are welcome. CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification with current CPR card.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Enrollment in nursing school with at least one semester of clinical completed.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or EMT (IL/NREMT) certificate or active enrollment in related health sciences degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care under supervision.
• Obtain vital signs and collect samples (blood, stool, urine).
• Follow department policies and ensure safety and accuracy of procedures.
• Adhere to Memorial Health values and clinical guidelines.
