Memorial Health in Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a patient care technician for full-time night shifts, including every 3rd weekend. You will assist in patient care under supervision, take vital signs, and collect samples while adhering to hospital policies.
Eligible candidates include CNAs, nursing students with clinical experience, Medical Assistants, EMTs, or health sciences students. CPR certification is required, and prior patient care experience is preferred.

Full time Night shift Every 3rd weekend
The Technician operates within Springfield Memorial Hospital and Divisional and Departmental mission, philosophy, goals and objectives. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse or a Licensed Physician/Mid-Level provider, assists in the delivery of care to patients. Performs a variety of tasks which include, but are not limited to, obtaining vital signs, collecting blood, stool, urine and other samples from patients. These tasks and duties are performed in accordance with both the established values and policies and procedures of the Department and Memorial Medical Center.
High school diploma or GED preferredOne of the following required: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); Enrollment in nursing school with one (1) semester of clinical completed Completion of Medical Assistant program; Illinois Department of Public Health EMT (B, I, or P) certificate or National Registry EMT (NREMT) Enrolled in Bachelor's degree program with a focus on health sciences (Pre-med, biology, chemistry) Completion of 6 months as a patient safety monitor within the ED
Demonstration of the ability to perform adequate CPR with a current CPR card.
Prior experience with patient care preferred
Demonstration of the ability to write and/or print legibly and accurately. Successful completion of Unit-Based orientation and clinical guidelines.
$16.77 - $25.99 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
