Job summary

LifeLine Amb is seeking an EMT-Basic in Illinois to provide essential EMS care and patient transport. The role emphasizes safe patient handling, rapid assessment, and adherence to BLS protocols. Orientation is provided, with competitive pay and on-site education opportunities.

Ideal candidates hold IL EMT-Basic licensure, a current CPR card, and a clean driving record. Candidates should be prepared for up to a 3-day orientation and background checks.

Qualifications

• Illinois EMT-Basic licensure required for interview.
• 18+ years old; high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Current CPR card; consent to a background check.
• Able to lift/push/pull 150+ lbs; orientation up to 3 days.
• Must pass Region XI CNEMS System Entry process.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide basic emergency medical care.
• Transport patients to medical facilities and continue care en route.
• Maintain composure in stressful situations and follow EMT protocols.
• Assist with lifting, loading, and securing patients in ambulances.
• Participate in on-site continuing education and training.
