Job summary

LifeLine is seeking EMTs to join our Illinois emergency medical team. As an EMT-Basic, you will respond to calls, provide basic life support, assist in patient care, and transport patients to hospital facilities while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include Illinois EMT-Basic licensure, 18+ years old, valid driver’s license, CPR, background check, and a willingness to participate in orientation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Illinois Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
• BLS-level proficiency in patient care
• Pass CNEMS System Entry process
• Current CPR card
• Consent to a criminal background check
• Able to participate in up to 3 days of orientation
• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide basic emergency care.
• Transport patients to medical facilities while continuing to monitor and assist.
• Maintain composure and provide careful patient handling during transport.
• Follow EMS protocols and document care provided.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
