Job summary

LifeLine is seeking EMTs in Illinois to provide basic emergency medical care, respond to calls, and transport patients to facilities. EMTs maintain composure and deliver lifesaving care en route.

Requirements include Illinois EMT-Basic licensure, 18+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, CPR, CNEMS system entry, background check, and up to 3 days of orientation. Ability to lift 150+ lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Illinois Licensure as EMT-Basic (Required for interview)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
• Skills and experience incumbent to function with proficiency at the BLS level of service
• Must successfully pass Region XI CNEMS System Entry process
• Current CPR card
• Consent to a criminal background check
• Must be available for up to 3-day orientation class
• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide basic emergency care
• Transport patients to medical facilities and continue care during transport
• Maintain calm, reassuring and efficient manner in stressful situations
• Safely transfer patients onto ambulances and assist with lifting/lowering stretchers
