Job summary

Banner Health in Ogallala, Nebraska is seeking a full-time Emergency Department Technician to support inpatient and ED operations. The role requires CNA licensure in Nebraska and night shifts (6pm-6:30am) with full-time hours and exposure to OB and ER supportive care.

The ED Tech will work under supervision to provide patient care, assist health care providers, and perform essential clinical tasks while maintaining safety and documentation standards in a busy ED environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• BLS certification required; EMT-B or CNA licensure needed for new hires.
• Basic computer skills and good communication abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Assist health care providers with patient procedures under supervision.
• Perform ECG testing (EKG), wound cleansing, vital signs, specimen collection and transport.
• Support patient care, monitor patients and document in the medical record.
• Assist with ensuring stock levels and department supplies are maintained.
• Orient and train new Emergency Department Technicians as needed.
